BIOLOGY I
Biology is a required class for all high school students. At the end of the course, students will take a state-developed standardized test (End of Course Exam or EOC) to assess their knowledge of the North Carolina Essential Standards for biology, which can be found here. If your student is in an honors course, they will engage with these standards more in depth and participate in more labs, the idea being to prepare these classes to take AP Biology down the road if they so choose.
